The Sultanate of Oman took part today in the 161st meeting of the GCC Ministerial Council, which was held at the GCC Secretariat General in Riyadh. Oman's delegation was led by Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister. The Ministerial Council, chaired by Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, was briefed on the efforts made by the committees working within the framework of the GCC and the Secretariat General to implement the decisions of the GCC Supreme Council in a manner that enhances the joint Gulf action in all fields. The Council also reviewed the developments in political issues at the regional and international arenas, most notably the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip and the international efforts made to stop it.
