Oman Participates in Meeting of GCC E-Government Ministerial Committee

Represented by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, the Sultanate of Oman today took part in the 8th meeting of the GCC Ministerial Committee for e-Government, held in the State of Qatar. Oman's delegation was headed by Dr. Ali Amer Al Shidhani, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology for Communications and Information Technology. The meeting looked into the approval of a guiding strategy for e-government in GCC states, reports filed by the e-government executive committee (and working groups) and the endorsement of a unified framework for digital access in member states. The meeting also discussed the criteria of the GCC E-Government Award and considered measures for the dissemination of a booklet titled 'Digital Landscape in the GCC'. Source: Oman News Agency
