The Sultanate of Oman ranked 74th on the Global Innovation Index 2024 out of 133 countries that were assessed based on seven indicators. Oman achieved its highest performance in the indicators of 'Human Capital and Research' and 'Infrastructure'. The report, issued by the World Intellectual Property Organization, indicated the Sultanate of Oman's progress to the 59th innovation input rank (going up by 6 ranks). Oman also ranked among top 20 countries in 3 sub-indicators. Oman ranked 12th on the 'Policy stability for doing business' sub-indicator and 2nd on the 'Graduates in science and engineering' sub-indicator.
