Oman Takes Part in Inaugural Session of 80th UN General Assembly

New york: The Sultanate of Oman participated in the opening proceedings of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, which commenced at UN headquarters in New York today. According to Oman News Agency, the session brings together heads of state and government, delegation leaders, and representatives of international and regional organizations. The Omani delegation was led by Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister. This year's session convenes against a backdrop of complex international and regional dynamics, with a substantive agenda addressing critical issues including international peace and security, sustainable development, and human rights.
