Zhuzhou: The national youth handball team concluded its participation in the group stage of the 19th Asian Youth Handball Championship, held in Zhuzhou, with a 41-26 loss to Chinese Taipei. This tournament also serves as a qualifier for the World Youth Championship. According to Oman News Agency, with this result, the national team finished its first-round campaign and moved to the 9th-to-13th place classification matches. They are set to face the Qatari team next Saturday in their opening match of the tournament's second phase. The national team had aimed for a positive outcome at the end of the group stage. However, Chinese Taipei maintained control throughout the match, concluding the first half with an 18-12 lead and further expanding the gap in the second half to secure the victory. The national team is continuing its preparations for the classification matches, striving to conclude its Asian participation on a high note and gain valuable experience from the continental competition.
