Muscat: The activities of the 9th Omani-Bahraini Products Exhibition, organized by the Omani-Bahraini Friendship Association in cooperation with the Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the Sultanate of Oman, will launch in Dhofar Governorate next Saturday, 1 August, and will continue for several days.
According to Oman News Agency, the organization of the exhibition is rooted in the fraternal and historical relations between the two countries and peoples. It is a reflection of the leadership's desire and directives to enhance and develop relations across various fields, aiming for integration between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Sultanate of Oman.
The exhibition aims to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in both countries by showcasing their products and fostering partnerships. It seeks to enhance trade exchange by establishing direct marketing channels between producers and consumers, thus contributing to increased trade activity between Oman and Bahrain.
Additionally, the event provides a platform for SMEs to access new markets and exchange expertise. It offers opportunities for SME owners to share knowledge in production, marketing, and business management, while also highlighting the cultural and craft diversity of both nations. The exhibition aims to introduce the Omani public to Bahraini products and vice versa, promoting future investment partnerships among enterprises.
Dr. Juma Ahmed Al Kaabi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Sultanate of Oman, noted that the exhibition underscores the government's support for SMEs, contributing to the gross domestic product. Previous editions resulted in approximately 560 partnerships between SMEs in both countries, reflecting the strength of Bahraini-Omani relations and aligning with leadership directives.
Rudaina Amer Al Hajri, Head of the Omani-Bahraini Friendship Association, emphasized the exhibition's importance in strengthening SME partnerships, which positively impacts business volume and job creation. Approximately 30 SMEs will participate, presenting products such as fashion, perfumes, incense, Omani frankincense, Omani halwa, accessories, and household supplies, reflecting the environments of Bahrain and Oman.
