Geneva, Bahrain's parliamentary group participated in a panel discussion titled "Parliamentary Leadership in Disarmament: Preventing and Reducing Human Suffering from the Spread of Weapons", as part of the 149th General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Geneva, Switzerland. Bahrain's parliamentary group affirmed that parliament members worldwide play a key role in supporting partnerships and cooperation between countries and organisations, and contribute to raising awareness on the importance of disarmament to achieve regional and international stability and security. Bahrain's parliamentary group was represented by Abdulnabi Salman, First Deputy Speaker of the Council of Representatives and Deputy Head of the delegation, along with Hala Ramzi Fayez, member of the Shura Council.
