Political Affairs Undersecretary participates in G20 ministerial meeting

New York, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary for Political Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, participated in the second meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Group of 20 (G20) held under the theme "Building a Just World and a Sustainable Planet'. The meeting was chaired by Brazil, on the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly. The undersecretary stressed Bahrain's participation emphasises its commitment to promote multilateral cooperation in consolidating security, peace and regional and global prosperity, achieving a permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, delivering humanitarian assistance, reducing military escalation in the region. He also added that it also reflects Bahrain's support for promoting environmental sustainability, investing in renewable energy, reducing carbon emissions to reduce climate change, protecting natural resources for future generations, in support of the goals of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, and int ernational partnership in building a more just, prosperous and sustainable world for all.
