Manama, Bahrain Polytechnic announced opening registration for the Top-Up programme, which provides a flexible track for diploma and associate diploma holders to get a Bachelor's degree in approximately two years. Those wishing to join the 2024 class can find information about the application process, admission requirements and programme details on Polytechnic's website, www.polytechnic.bh. Registration is open until August 18. Top-Up programmes include a range of majors. Engineering majors include civil engineering, chemical and process engineering, mechanical engineering, and electrical engineering. Business administration degrees are human resource management and accounting; information and communication. Technology majors include programming, networking, and information systems, in addition to majoring in visual design. Classes are scheduled during evening hours and weekends, giving working students flexibility in balancing their work and academic commitments. Abdulredha Dismal, the Lifelong Learning Director at Bahrain Polytechnic, said that the programme targets holders of Diploma or High Diploma, who wish to continue their studies and graduate from one of the bachelor's programmes offered by Polytechnic, within just two years and a foundation semester. Dismal said that the programme comes at an appealing cost compared to the cost of a four year or more study programmes, and it recognises applicants' previous study years and diplomas. He added that programme has had a wide turnout from citizens and major local companies, and citizens of neighbouring countries. It has recently graduated about 24 employees from Aluminum Bahrain (Alba) as they completed their bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering. Source: Bahrain News Agency
