President of Iran Concludes Official Visit to Oman

Muscat: President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian of the Islamic Republic of Iran and his accompanying delegation have departed from the Sultanate of Oman following a two-day official visit.

According to Oman News Agency, the farewell ceremony at the Royal Airport was led by HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs. The Iranian President was also bid farewell by Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, the Foreign Minister and Head of the Mission of Honour, along with Ibrahim Ahmed Al Mu'aini, Oman's Ambassador to Iran.

During the visit, President Pezeshkian was accompanied by a high-level delegation including Abbas Araghchi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Mohsen Haji-Mirzaei, Head of the President's Office. Other notable members included Mohammad Atabek, Minister of Industry, Mining, and Trade, who also serves as the Head of the Iranian side in the Oman-Iran Economic Cooperation Joint Committee, and Air Commodore Aziz Nasirzadeh, Minister of Defence and Logistics of the Armed Forces.

Additionally, the delegation featured Gholamhossein Zarei, Deputy Chairman of the Parliament, Mohammad-Reza Farzin, Governor of the Central Bank of Iran, and Masoumeh Aghapour Alishahi, Advisor to the President for Economic Cooperation Affairs. Mousa Farhang, the Ambassador of Iran to Oman, also accompanied the delegation, alongside several other officials from the Iranian government.
