Progress in Implementation of Government Digital Transformation Projects, Initiatives Reviewed

Muscat: The Technical Committee of the National Digital Transformation Programme held its third periodic meeting for 2026, chaired by Dr. Ali Amer Al Shidhani, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology for Communications and Information Technology, in the presence of Their Excellencies and members of the Committee. The meeting discussed the latest developments in the implementation of government digital transformation projects and initiatives and reviewed the implementation status of a number of programmes and projects.

According to Oman News Agency, the committee examined key projects, including the summary of the Strategic Plan of the Supreme Judicial Council 2040 and the summary of the Unified Judicial Platform project. The review also covered the Unified Social Protection and Government Support System plan and the progress of establishing the Digital Transformation Enablement Activity/Entity in government institutions. Additionally, the committee assessed the implementation status and key achievements of the "Irtiqa" Programme, aimed at empowering national competencies in digital transformation, and explored ways to enable government institutions to continue implementing digital transformation objectives.

The meeting addressed topics related to the development of the government digital transformation system and the follow-up of relevant procedures within the Committee's mandate. This session is part of the periodic follow-up of government digital transformation projects and initiatives, supporting efforts to develop the digital transformation system and enhance the efficiency of government operations.
