The Royal Army of Oman (RAO), represented by Musandam Security Force, and the Royal Special Force of the Kingdom of Bahrain today conducted a joint practical demonstration codenamed 'Al Nimr Al Arabi' or 'Arabian Tiger 4'. The exercise, implemented with backing from the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO), was held under the auspices of Maj.Gen Mattar Salim Al Balushi, Commander of the Royal Army of Oman (RAO). It was attended by Brigadier General Yasser Mohammed Al Ma'awdah, Commander of the Special Operations Battalion 24 of the Royal Bahraini Special Force. The practical demo took place at the Combat Training Unit in built-up and mountainous areas in A'Dakhiliyah Governorate. In that terrain, the participating forces put to practice their preset plans and achieved their training objectives. The participants showed a high level of performance, morale and combat ability that exhibited harmony in conducting such joint drills. The joint exercise constituted a link in a series of annual training plans and program mes carried out by the RAO - in cooperation with armies of Arab and foreign countries - to perpetuate the combat efficiency of RAO members.
