Muscat: The Oman Handball Association has opened player registration for the Junior Handball League (birth years 2010-2012) and the Youth Handball League (birth years 2008-2009) for the 2026/2027 sporting season. Registration will remain open until 6 September. According to Oman News Agency, the early registration window has been introduced to afford clubs sufficient time to complete their submissions and finalize the official participant lists for both competitions, which will then be distributed into groups in accordance with the approved competition format. The Association has established a number of conditions and procedures governing player registration, including the completion of medical examinations and the signing of the registration form by both the player and the club secretary. In the case of loaned or released players, an official letter from the club must also be attached. The Association has emphasized that only officially approved forms will be accepted, and that photocopied or scanned copie s will not be recognized. It has also permitted the inclusion of up to four junior-category players on a youth team roster, provided that their registration is completed in full compliance with the approved regulations. A total of 13 clubs have expressed interest in the Junior League, namely Oman Club, Muscat, Masirah, Nizwa, Al Amerat, A'Seeb, A'Rustaq, Al Khaburah, Saham, Ibri, Al Bashayer, Al Ittihad and Majis. Meanwhile, 12 clubs have indicated their intent to participate in the Youth League, namely Al Ittihad, Oman Club, Muscat, Masirah, Nizwa, Al Nasr, Al Amerat, A'Seeb, Al Oruba, Al-Khaburah, Saham, and Taqa. The Junior League is scheduled to commence on 25 September, while the Youth League competition will get under way on 2 October.
