SAF Chief of Staff Discusses Defense Collaboration with UK Warfare Centre Director

Muscat: Vice Admiral Abdullah Khamis Al Raisi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan's Armed Forces (SAF), welcomed Air Vice-Marshal Simon Strasdin, Director of the Integrated Warfare Centre (IWC) of the United Kingdom, along with his military delegation, at Al Murtafa'a Camp today. The meeting facilitated an exchange of views and discussion on topics of mutual interest between the two military leaders.

According to Oman News Agency, Air Vice-Marshal Simon Strasdin and his accompanying delegation also visited the Maritime Security Centre (MSC). Upon arrival, they were received by the Acting Head of the MSC, who provided an overview of the centre's role in ensuring security and safety within the maritime zones of the Sultanate of Oman.

The delegation was briefed on the centre's efforts in maintaining maritime security and was given a tour of the facilities, showcasing the modern technologies and systems utilized by the MSC. The visit highlighted the ongoing collaboration between Oman and the United Kingdom in enhancing defense and security capabilities.
