Riyadh, The Saudi Falcons Club's auction, taking place at its Malham headquarters, north of Riyadh, will run until November 15. The second evening of the auction, held in parallel with the International Saudi Falcons and Hunting Exhibition, drew a significant crowd of falconry, hunting and desert adventure enthusiasts. Standing out in the evening was the bidding for a Shaheen falcon captured in the Al-Qunfudhah Governorate. Starting at SAR50,000, the bidding intensified and the falcon was sold for SAR147,000, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA). The Saudi Falcons Club provides services to falcon owners participating in the auction by arranging lodging and transportation to the venue. Teams from different regions host and support falcon owners. The auction features live presentations of falcons broadcast on television and the club's social media platforms. This auction is the largest official falcon auction in Saudi Arabia; it highlights the country's cultural, civilizational, and economic heritage , in line with the Saudi Vision 2030. The club strives to improve the standards of falcon auctions in the Kingdom, to make it a hub for falconry enthusiasts and breeders from all over the world. It also seeks to regulate falcon transactions, protect endangered species, and discourage their commercialization. Source: Bahrain News Agency
