Salfit - Ma'an - Settlers have re-installed caravans and tents on the lands of the Banat Bar area in the town of Kafr ad-Dik, west of Salfit. Kafr ad-Dik Mayor Dr. Alaa ad-Dik said: A group of settlers stormed the Banat Bar area on the western side of the town and re-erected tents today. Al-Deek explained that the area is 400 meters away from citizens' homes, and that it is targeted by the occupation, as a number of notices were distributed to citizens under flimsy pretexts, noting that the area is surrounded by the "Peduel" settlement, which is built on citizens' lands. He pointed out that the settler groups exploited the current events and the world's preoccupation with the war on Gaza to steal lands for the sake of expanding the settlements and re-erecting caravans and tents in areas that were previously evacuated, noting that the settlers set up their tents in that area in April of this year.
