Sheikh Al-Aql contacts Berri, Jumblatt, calls for national unity to prevent the enemy from implementing its plans

Druze Sheikh Al-Aql, Sami Abi Al-Mona, contacted this morning House Speaker Nabih Berri, offering his condolences for the martyrdom of Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and his comrades, as well as all the martyrs of the sinful Israeli aggression. A statement issued by the Druze Sheikh Aql media bureau indicated that 'the call was an opportunity for His Eminence to renew to the Parliament Speaker full solidarity with the people of the South, the Beirut suburbs and the Bekaa, in the face of the Israeli war, which must be confronted with the greatest degree of solidarity and internal national unity, to thwart the enemy's plots and prevent it from implementing its destructive and divisive plans among the Lebanese." The statement also indicated that talks highlighted the necessity of strengthening social and fraternal solidarity in light of the current critical stage. "Speaker Berri thanked His Eminence Sheikh Al-Aql for his call and solidarity, and praised the honorable stance of the nationa l leader Walid Jumblatt and the people of the Lebanese mountain towards their brothers," the statement maintained. "His Eminence Sheikh Abi Al-Mona also made a similar call to leader Walid Jumblatt, to consult and exchange views, emphasizing the need to consolidate internal unity and national solidarity, and to protect the mountain and the cohesion of its society, in light of the current state of war and the chaos and possible repercussions that necessitate the preservation of civil and general societal peace," the statement concluded.
