Manama, Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, received Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Sheikh, Speaker of the Shura Council of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and his accompanying delegation. The meeting was attended by Ahmed bin Salman AlMusallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Jamal Mohammed Fakhro, First Deputy Speaker of the Advisory Council, and members of the Advisory Council's Bureau. Al Saleh praised the active and strategic role played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in supporting stability and peace in the region, and its commitment to advancing Arab and Islamic issues. He stressed that Saudi Arabia was a key actor the region, with its continuous initiatives and positive roles in supporting Arab and national security. The Speaker commended the fruitful work and continuous cooperation between the two kingdoms, supported by the leaderships of both countries, which reflects the advanced status of their longstanding relations. Al Saleh highlighted the kingdoms' leadershi ps have always supported bilateral sustainable development partnerships, which have led to substantial joint achievements. He praised the parliamentary cooperation and bilateral visits between the Shura Councils of Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, noting the keenness of the members of the two councils to exchange ideas and visions on topics discussed at regional and international parliamentary conferences. A copy of the book 'The Shura Council: Twenty Years of Harvest,' prepared by Dr Fawzia Yousef Al Jeeb, Advisor to the Speaker, was presented to Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Sheikh. The book documents the achievements of the Council during the five legislative terms. On his part, the Saudi Speaker praised the development and progress achieved by Bahrain in all fields and expressed great interest in continuing to develop bilateral parliamentary relations, pushing them towards more fruitful cooperation that supports the interests of both kingdoms.
