Muscat: Sultan Qaboos University, represented by the UNESCO Chair for Artificial Intelligence, will organize the ‘International Conference for Artificial Intelligence: Applications, Innovation and Ethics’ during the period from 3-5 February 2025. The event aims to explore the multifaceted applications of artificial intelligence across various sectors.
According to Oman News Agency, the conference will focus on AI applications in education, medicine, industry, the digital economy, and energy. A significant aspect of the conference will be the exploration of AI’s role in predicting natural disasters such as tsunami waves and earthquakes. Additionally, the conference will address the ethical considerations associated with the use of AI.
The conference will feature fifteen discussion panels with the participation of 80 researchers from around the world. These panels will provide a platform for experts to share insights and advancements in AI technologies and their implications across different fields.
