MUSCAT: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik met with Ajay Banga, President of the World Bank Group, at Al Barakah Palace to discuss economic and developmental topics, as well as the potential for enhanced cooperation between Oman and the World Bank.

According to Oman News Agency, the discussions focused on the latest economic developments in Oman and explored ways to expand partnerships with the World Bank Group. The meeting highlighted opportunities for exchanging expertise, sharing knowledge, and developing the capabilities of national competencies. Additionally, strategies to support the World Bank’s role and initiatives in the region were also considered.

The meeting was attended by Sultan bin Salim Al Habsi, Oman’s Minister of Finance, underscoring the importance of the discussions in shaping the economic future of the Sultanate and its collaboration with international financial institutions.
