Manama, Dr. Shaikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Futtais Al Hajeri, Chairman of the Sunni Endowments Council, received Jamal Dawood, General Supervisor for Coordination and Follow-up of the late His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa Quran Award. The meeting reviewed preparations for the award's fifth edition, organised annually by Al Noor Charity Welfare during Ramadhan with the participation of specialised judges. Dr. Al Hajeri commended the royal patronage of Quran competitions and centres for memorising the Quran in Bahrain and commended their role in promoting the teachings and values of the Holy Quran. He attributed these achievements to the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in advancing Quran initiatives and spreading Islamic principles of moderation.
