Manama, The Sunni Endowments Directorate issued a circular to religious preachers, stressing the importance of maintaining the integrity of the religious platform and adhering to its essential role. The directorate urged preachers to embrace a unified religious and national discourse aimed at protecting national achievements, fostering solidarity, and promoting cooperation and brotherhood across all sectors of society. It emphasised the need for preachers to actively contribute to strengthening national unity, preserving societal accomplishments, and upholding fundamental principles, while ensuring that religious platforms remain dedicated to their spiritual purpose, free from any actions that compromise their role. The circular also highlighted the importance of keeping religious platforms distant from political activities, in line with Bahrain's legislative framework, which is grounded in the National Action Charter and the Constitution. This framework prohibits the combining of political and religious work, to protect religious activities from political influence. The outcomes of the National Consensus Dialogue also stipulated that religious platforms should not be utilised as tools for political purposes. Source: Bahrain News Agency
