Muscat:South Al Batinah: The Department of Endowments and Religious Affairs in South Al Batinah Governorate has launched a three-day forum titled "Tamkeen" (Empowerment). The event, which commenced under the patronage of Ahmed bin Saleh Al Rashdi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs, is designed to enhance professional knowledge and practical skills among 300 participating employees.
According to Oman News Agency, the forum aims to improve institutional governance and sustainability. It seeks to align training outcomes with workplace requirements, contributing to performance efficiency, improved service quality, and sustainable institutional impact, in line with the Ministry's "Year of Proficiency" (2026) goals.
Dr. Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al Siyabi, Director of the Department of Endowments and Religious Affairs in South Al Batinah, addressed the forum, outlining its objectives and key themes. The opening program featured a video titled "When Empowerment Begins," a visual display "From Plan to Impact: Towards an Integrated Strategic System," and a panel discussion on "From Empowerment to Sustainable Institutional Impact" moderated by Dr. Bakhit Al Shibli.
The first day's agenda included four working papers. Basma Al Bassami, Director of Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Office, presented the first paper on "Institutional Empowerment and Enhancing Performance Efficiency." Sami Al Jahdhami, Head of the Remote Training Section, focused on "Institutional Empowerment in the Training and Qualification Sector" in the second paper.
The third paper, presented by Dr. Hazza Al-Bakari, Head of the Governance Section, explored "Institutional Governance: From Framework Building to Creating Sustainable Impact." The fourth paper, by Laila Al Harthi, Senior Manager of Culture and Change Management at Omantel, detailed the company's efforts in establishing a work environment that enhances the quality of work life for sustainable performance.
The day's events concluded with an open discussion on improving institutional practices and boosting workplace performance efficiency.
