Invest Oman, the official investment platform in the Sultanate of Oman, has announced the launch of 10 promising investment opportunities in the converting industries sector, to the tune of RO 166 million. Invest Oman operates under the purview of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion. The step highlights Invest Oman's efforts to attract foreign capital and generate business opportunities based on feasibility studies in strategic sectors. The opportunities provided by Invest Oman are compatible with global investment trends, notably in the sectors of renewable energy, technology, innovation, artificial intelligence, tourism, circular economy, mining and food security. The investment opportunities offered recently include projects in converting industries, building materials and industrialization technology. The projects receive incentives like reductions in taxes and basic services, and these help cut down operating costs and enhance the attractiveness of investment projects. The pro jects also seek to develop local capabilities, augment added value of the national economy, generate new employment opportunities and support small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
