Muscat: The Tender Board today conducted its fifth meeting of 2024, chaired by Dr. Said bin Mohammed Al Saqri, the Minister of Economy and Chairman of the Board. During this session, the Board allocated tenders and additional works for various development projects amounting to RO 304,006,392. According to Oman News Agency, the awarded tenders include significant projects such as the implementation of the dual-carriageway on the Adam-Thumrait Road. Part 4 of this road project was awarded at a cost of RO 118,379,071, while Part 3 and Part 5 were allocated RO 70,031,555 and RO 69,792,793, respectively. Additional infrastructure developments include the construction of roads in Jebel Shams, with a budget of RO 20,248,903. The Tender Board also approved the electromechanical and civil operation and maintenance of Sultan Qaboos University Hospital, costing RO 4,949,952. Another notable project is the construction of 'A'Dakhiliyah Boulevard', which has been allocated RO 8,373,338. Further development plans inclu de the enhancement of the seafront of Al Ashkhara Beach in South A'Sharqiyah Governorate, with a budget of RO 5,786,000. The Board also decided on a TV and digital promotional campaign for Oman in global markets for RO 385,089. The Board allocated RO 217,807 for the periodic maintenance of dentistry chairs across various health institutions. Additionally, a tourism representative office for Oman will be established in the People's Republic of China at a cost of RO 100,000. Several other projects relating to additional works were also approved by the Tender Board.
