Ramallah - Ma'an - President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas received Dr. Ahmed Abu Holi, member of the Executive Committee and head of the Department of Refugee Affairs, at the presidential headquarters in the city of Ramallah. His Excellency received from Abu Holi the annual report for 2022-2023. The report included the most prominent achievements of the Department of Refugee Affairs, including monitoring the situation of refugees in the five regions, the ongoing targeting of UNRWA and ways to protect it, the projects submitted to the camps in the homeland and diaspora, the diplomatic efforts undertaken by the department at the Conference of Refugee Affairs Supervisors, Advisory Committee meetings, scientific conferences, and diplomatic activity to defend the refugee issue and support UNRWA financially. The President praised the distinguished efforts made by the Department of Refugee Affairs in the homeland and diaspora, the national strategic plan through which the department works, and ways to d evelop it in a manner consistent with the serious challenges targeting the refugee issue and UNRWA.
