TRA Holds Discussion Panel with Beneficiaries

The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) today organized an interactive meeting with beneficiaries from services offered by public establishments, with the aim of discussing topics related to the telecommunications sector. This meeting reflects TRA's keenness to exchange views on public services, with a view to developing the telecommunications sector and upgrading the quality of its services. The meeting touched on prospect to stop third-generation (3G) services and replace them with 4G and 5G services, with the aim of keeping pace with technological developments and improving user experience. Internet service subscribers were transferred from low-speed networks to fiber-optic and fifth-generation networks, thus enabling them to benefit from higher speeds and better quality of services. The TRA also discussed options to upgrade internal connections for buildings and improve the specifications of their devices and cables. Source: Oman News Agency
