Traded Value of Real Estate in Oman Exceeds RO 1.17 Billion by End of May 2026

Muscat: The traded value of real estate in the Sultanate of Oman recorded an increase of 5.5 percent by the end of May 2026, reaching RO 1,175.3 million, compared to RO 1,113.6 million during the corresponding period of 2025.

According to Oman News Agency, statistics issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) showed an increase in the traded value of sales contracts to RO 551.8 million for 27,864 sales contracts, compared to RO 536.3 million for 27,302 sales contracts during the corresponding period of 2025. This registered a growth in value of 2.9 percent and an increase in the number of contracts by 2.1 percent.

The traded value of mortgage contracts also rose by 7.9 percent to reach RO 618.1 million for 11,130 contracts by the end of May 2026, compared to RO 572.7 million for 9,140 contracts during the corresponding period of 2025. Meanwhile, the traded value of exchange contracts reached RO 5.4 million for 319 contracts by the end of May 2026, compared to RO 4.6 million for 538 contracts during the corresponding period of the previous year, registering a growth in value of 17.8 percent.

On the front of real estate title deeds, the number of issued title deeds decreased by 12.9 percent to reach 82,224 by the end of May 2026, compared to 94,414 title deeds during the corresponding period of 2025. The number of title deeds issued to citizens of the GCC countries also declined by 28 percent, to reach 439 by the end of May 2026, compared to 610 title deeds during the corresponding period of 2025.
