San francisco: Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey has launched a new messaging app called BitChat, which uses Bluetooth technology to communicate between devices without the need for an internet connection.

According to Oman News Agency, Dorsey posted a preliminary image of the app on his GitHub account, showing advanced features such as password-protected channels and a special mode called Panic Mode. This mode allows users to instantly clear all data when the logo is triple-tapped, without relying on creating accounts, central servers, or collecting user data.
