The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights said on Thursday that nearly 90% of the population of the Gaza Strip has been displaced since October 2023. In a post on the X platform, the commission explained that there is currently no safe place in the Strip. She added that the people of Gaza have been pushed into a narrow space that is only one-tenth of the Strip's size. Since October 7, Israel, the occupying power, has been waging a war of extermination on the Gaza Strip, leaving more than 133,000 martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 10,000 missing, amid massive destruction and deadly famine. In contempt of the international community, Israel continues the war, ignoring the UN Security Council resolution calling for an immediate halt, and the International Court of Justice's orders to take measures to prevent acts of genocide and to improve the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza.
