Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, met with Diego Martínez Belío, Spain's State Secretary for Foreign and Global Affairs, in Madrid. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the ministerial coordination meeting on Gaza. The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between Bahrain and Spain, focusing on political, economic, and cultural sectors. Discussions also addressed regional and international developments, including efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza, release hostages, protect civilians, and facilitate humanitarian aid. Both sides stressed the importance of advancing a just and comprehensive peace process in the Middle East, including the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, based on the two-state solution and international resolutions.
