UNRWA Warns of Humanitarian Crisis as Israel Blocks Fuel to Gaza

Gaza City: The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) has reported that Israel's blockade, which has prevented fuel from entering the Gaza Strip for over 100 days, poses a severe threat to ongoing humanitarian operations.

According to Oman News Agency, UNRWA announced in a post on X that essential sectors, including health, water, food, and communications, are at significant risk due to the Israeli occupation's blockade of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. The blockade has been in place since March 2, 2025, and has led to a dire humanitarian situation as it also restricts the entry of food, medicine, and aid, amid escalating violence by the Israeli army.

UNRWA highlighted the critical need for fuel to sustain its humanitarian efforts and warned, "Without fuel, lives will be lost." The agency has called for the immediate lifting of the Israeli blockade to allow for the resumption of essential humanitarian operations in the region.
