French President, Emmanuel Macron, on Thursday contacted House Speaker, Nabih Berri, by phone to offer condolences for the victims of the recent Israeli aggression on Lebanon. Macron expressed wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured and reiterated France's support for Lebanon during its current crisis. In turn, Berri thanked Macron for his solidarity, describing the Israeli attacks as an unprecedented war crime against Lebanon. The House Speaker urged France to support Lebanon's stance at the United Nations and called for international pressure to halt Israeli aggression on Gaza and Lebanon.
