Muscat: Based on the Royal orders of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the State Council will open the second regular sitting of the eighth term (2023-2027) on Sunday, 10 November 2024, in accordance with the provisions of Article (38) of the Council of Oman Law. According to Oman News Agency, the State Council undertakes a prominent role in approving or amending draft laws and discussing development plans and the State's general budget. Serving as a major partner in domestic development, the State Council seeks to achieve this role through various activities that it performs during its regular or joint sessions or the meetings of its main bureau (State Council Office) or its permanent committees, sub-committees and special committees.
