Muscat: X has launched a completely new version of its Android app after nearly a year of development, aiming to enhance user experience and accelerate the delivery of new features for the world's most widely used mobile operating system. According to Oman News Agency, the company said the app is not a routine update but has been rebuilt from the ground up, offering better performance, greater speed, and improved stability compared to previous versions. The rebuilt app uses modern programming languages for a smoother browsing experience, eliminating lag. It features an updated interface that allows users to pin tabs for favourite topics, addresses slow external link loading, and offers deeper integration of digital payments and advanced messaging. The overhaul is designed to resolve the technical issues and sluggishness that Android users experienced compared to the iOS version, delivering faster browsing and instant notifications. It marks an important step for the platform in improving the experience of millions of users worldwide. Existing Android users can update the X app through the Google Play Store to access all the improvements as soon as they become available.
