Muscat: The Youth Centre recently held a round of exciting events at the conclusion of its 2026 Ramadan Programmes. The ceremony was held at Muscat Grand Mall under the auspices of Sayyid Saud bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth. According to Oman News Agency, the closing event included a speech by Alia bint Said Al Shanfari, Executive Manager of the Youth Centre, in addition to a visual presentation that showcased youth programmes and challenge contests implemented by the centre during the holy month of Ramadan. The event also featured iftar, theatrical performances, and a 'youth market' show. During Ramadan, the centre presented 19 youth programmes that benefited more than 1,388 young men and women. These programmes included training young people in practicing different vocal modes used in the call for prayers and Arabic calligraphy. The centre also organized youth challenges in collaboration with Active Oman, including karting, shooting, and virtual golf, in addition to e-sports challenges. There was also a dialogue session with Dr. Laila bint Ahmed Al Najjar, in partnership with the Ministry of Social Development.
