Cairo: On behalf of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, will participate in the official opening ceremony of the Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo, Arab Republic of Egypt, on Saturday, 1 November 2025. HH Sayyid Theyazin’s presence underscores the significance of cultural ties between Oman and Egypt.

According to Oman News Agency, HH Sayyid Theyazin will be accompanied by a delegation including Salim bin Mohammed Al Mahrouqi, Minister of Heritage and Tourism, and Sayyid Said bin Sultan Al Busaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth for Culture. Also part of the delegation are Jamal bin Hassan Al Musawi, Secretary-General of the National Museum, and Abdullah bin Nasser Al Rahbi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Arab Republic of Egypt and its Permanent Representative to the Arab League. This participation reflects a commitment to strengthening cultural and diplomatic relations between the two nations.
