Muscat: The Financial Services Authority (FSA) today organized a symposium titled “Accounting and Auditing: Reality and Development Opportunities”. Held in the presence of representatives of accounting and auditing firms and specialists, the symposium aimed to exchange expertise, boost channels of communication among professional offices, and explore key legislative and regulatory updates in the profession of accounting and auditing.

According to Oman News Agency, the symposium saw the launch of an integrated electronic system whereby accounting and auditing offices can submit their applications for registration and renewal. The system constitutes a step forward in FSA’s digital transition drive. It enables applicants to electronically submit and follow up on their applications in a transparent manner, contributing to the revision and tracking of performance.
