Muscat, Her Highness the Honourable Lady Assayida Ahd Abdullah Hamed Al Busaidi, Spouse of the Sultan of Oman, has sent a message of greetings on the occasion of Omani Women’s Day, which falls on 17 October every year.
The message reads as follows:
“On the occasion of Omani Women’s Day, the 17th of October, I am delighted and honoured to express my pride and commendation for Omani women who demonstrated firm resolve and constant strive to shoulder their responsibilities in shaping family and society and promoting our dear nation’s glory.
The ever-present influence of women on the national arena is manifest and self-explanatory. The Omani women have undertaken outstanding roles across different sectors. Their valuable contributions establish them as an essential partner in building our homeland, Oman, and advancing its Renewed Renaissance.
On this auspicious occasion, we congratulate ourselves and all Omani women, celebrate their accomplishments and pray for them to pursue the course of success in realizing the good of the nation, under the wise leadership of His Majesty the Sultan.
Yet, on this day, we also express our solidarity with our sisters in Gaza and all of Palestine as they undergo adverse circumstances. We salute their stance and steadfastness amid the bombing and the scourge of destruction. We pray to Allah the Almighty to rid them of all harms and grant them peace, security and stability. We pray to the Almighty to liberate Palestine so that our sisters there could resume their desired role in nation building.
