New York, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Mirjana Spoljaric, the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). They discussed the developments of events in the Middle East and their repercussions on the humanitarian situation of the civilian population. They also reviewed international efforts to stop the war in the Gaza Strip, and efforts to deliver aid to the people of the Gaza Strip. The meeting touched on the ICRC efforts in providing humanitarian assistance to those affected by conflicts, regional and international conflicts and natural disasters.
