Grand Mufti of the Lebanese Republic, Sheikh Abdul Latif Derian, on Thursday received MP Abdel Rahman Bizri in the presence of Abdul Halim Zein, member of the Higher Islamic Shiite Council. The meeting addressed the challenging living and social conditions in the country, the complex political crisis, repeated aggressions on southern Lebanon, and the suffering of Palestinians from brutal attacks. Bizri discussed with the Grand Mufti the situation in the city of Sidon, which suffers from service deficiencies and economic stagnation. Bizri also emphasized the importance of supporting citizens and securing their basic needs such as water and electricity, and he listened to the Mufti's advice on following up on these issues.
