The Islamic Resistance issued the following: "In support of our steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in solidarity with their valiant and honorable resistance, and in defense of Lebanon and its people, and in response to the brutal "Israeli" violation of cities, villages, and civilians, the fighters of the Islamic Resistance targeted an Israeli Merkava tank at 07:00 AM on Saturday, October 5, 2024, as it advanced towards Al-Bat plateau near Maroun al-Ras with a guided missile, striking it directly and causing casualties among its crew."
