Oman Hosts Annual Conference of ANVR, Showcasing Tourism Opportunities.

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism (MHT), hosted the annual conference of the Dutch Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators (ANVR). The event was organised in collaboration with the Dutch Travel Association and featured an opening ceremony under the auspices of Azzan Qassim Al Busaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism for Tourism, with the Dutch Ambassador in attendance. According to Oman News Agency, the conference brought together 185 companies representing the tourism sector in the Kingdom of the Netherlands. It provided a valuable opportunity to showcase the Sultanate of Oman as a travel destination for tourism and media companies in the Dutch market. The event served as a platform to introduce Dutch tourism companies to Oman's tourist attractions, unique experiences, and heritage sites, offering a comprehensive overview to companies that will later play a role in promoting Oman. Moreover, the conference aimed to strengthen co llaboration with these companies to attract tourists from target markets, facilitate the exchange of knowledge and expertise, and foster partnerships with counterpart companies in Oman. The Ministry reported that the number of tourists visiting the Sultanate of Oman from the Kingdom of the Netherlands in 2023 reached 18,164, while from January to the end of September 2024, Oman received 11,341 Dutch visitors.
