Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, engaged in an official session of talks at Al Alam Palace today. The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral relations and exploring opportunities for partnership and investment to bolster the economies of both nations.
According to Oman News Agency, His Majesty the Sultan warmly welcomed Sheikh Tamim and his delegation, expressing his pleasure over the visit and wishing them an enjoyable stay in Oman. Sheikh Tamim, in turn, conveyed his gratitude for the warm reception and hospitality extended to him and his team.
The discussions covered various areas of cooperation, emphasizing the importance of enhancing economic ties and fulfilling the aspirations of the peoples of both countries. The leaders also exchanged perspectives on the global situation and its implications for the region, as well as exploring avenues for regional and international peace, security, and stability.
The Omani delegation included several high-ranking officials, such as HH Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, and Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, among others. The Qatari side was represented by Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs, and Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, Minister of Finance, along with other key figures from Qatar.
The talks underscored the commitment of both nations to deepen their ties and collaborate on mutual interests, ultimately aiming to create a more prosperous and stable region.
