International Workshop on Natural Disaster Management Concludes

Muscat: The international workshop on disaster management, organized by the National Centre for Emergency Management in cooperation with the Emergency and Military Affairs Department of the U.S. State of Arizona, concluded today. The 5-day workshop aimed to enhance the level of preparedness and develop coordination and cooperation mechanisms among the components of the National Committee for Emergency Management, as well as to exchange expertise and experiences on international best practices in dealing with natural disasters.

According to Oman News Agency, the workshop provided a platform for participants to discuss strategies and share knowledge on effective disaster management. The sessions focused on improving response capabilities and resilience against various natural disasters. Participants included representatives from multiple countries, who shared insights and discussed collaborative approaches to managing emergencies effectively.

The workshop emphasized the importance of international collaboration and knowledge exchange in strengthening disaster management systems.
