Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman today joined the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in celebrating its 54th National Day, which falls on 2 December, as part of the distinguished relations linking the two countries.
According to Oman News Agency, the Secretariat General of National Celebrations organized a celebration at the Al Khatm border crossing in Al Buraimi Governorate. The event included segments such as musical performances by the Royal Oman Police Music Band, a visual presentation of a celebration held in Al Khuwair Square on 24 November, a student performance, and artistic displays.
The Secretariat General of National Celebrations, in cooperation with the Royal Oman Police, also conducted a national celebration at the Al Wajajah border crossing with participation from citizens. The event commenced with the reception of officers, officials, and citizens from the UAE, followed by the exchange of congratulations.
The celebration featured artistic musical displays and compositions by the Royal Navy of Oman Music Band. Additionally, the art of 'Al Hambal' was performed on camels in North Al Batinah Governorate, with participants carrying flags of both countries. The celebration ended with a song highlighting the historical relations, good neighborliness, and familial ties between Oman and the UAE.
These celebrations reflect the fraternal relations and good neighborliness between Oman and the UAE, serving as a model of cooperation and cohesion between the two nations.
