Muscat: The Ministry of Interior today hosted the second annual meeting between Oman governors and the Minister of Interior, Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi. The minister expressed appreciation for the governors’ efforts in improving performance across their respective governorates.
According to Oman News Agency, the minister encouraged the governors to sustain high standards and focus on achieving comprehensive and sustainable development. He emphasized the importance of enhancing the integration between the roles of the governorates and other state institutions.
With the implementation of the 11th Five-Year Plan approaching, the minister urged governors to effectively utilize available resources to meet citizen needs. The meeting covered various agenda topics, leading to decisions pertinent to the matters discussed.
A significant focus was placed on expanding information technology use and implementing electronic programs in coordination with relevant departments. This initiative aims to streamline procedures and facilitate easier transaction follow-ups for users.
