Manama: A plenary meeting took place today involving representatives from the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) Committee of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), and Bahrain business market committees and sectors covering health, industry, and energy. The gathering also saw participation from members of the Bahrain-Oman Businessmen Association.

According to Oman News Agency, the meeting focused on fostering cooperation between sectoral committees and exploring joint strategies to promote SME products through partnerships with Bahraini institutions. Discussions included the creation of joint marketing outlets to support entrepreneurs' products in both countries' markets.

The meeting also addressed ongoing efforts to organize a GCC forum for entrepreneurs and freelancers, aimed at exchanging ideas on project development and opportunities available across GCC states. Additionally, the role of both countries' chambers in facilitating business services was reviewed.

Both sides emphasized the significance of strengthening economic partnerships and enhancing communication channels to support the SME sector and its contribution to economic development in the GCC region.
