Riyadh: The National Esports Team has qualified for the FIFAe World Cup Finals in the game Rocket League, scheduled to be held in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, from 15-19 December. This qualification marks a significant milestone in the development of the Esports sector in the Sultanate of Oman, showcasing the growth of the sector and the support directed towards young national talents to compete at global levels. According to Oman News Agency, the team comprises Sultan Al Balushi, Amjad Al Zadjali, and Abdullah Al Amri. All three players are ranked within the top 0.01 percent of global players in Rocket League. The team underwent a professional training program supervised by coach Abdullah Al Atiqi. The team's qualification came after their participation in the official West Asia regional qualifiers and their victory over the Jordanian National Team in the decisive match. This success, alongside a series of positive results in local, regional, and international tournaments, secured them a spot among the top 1 6 national teams globally in the finals.
