Muscat: The Omani-Qatari Joint Committee convened for its 24th session in Muscat, focusing on enhancing bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors including finance, education, health, and more. The meeting was attended by high-ranking officials from both countries, with Sultan bin Salim Al Habsi representing Oman and Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari representing Qatar.

According to Oman News Agency, the discussions centered on financial and economic cooperation, as well as developments in joint investment projects. Both ministers emphasized the importance of these meetings in fostering bilateral relations and supporting the economic visions of their respective countries. They highlighted the committee's role in promoting sustainable development and economic integration.

On the sidelines of the meeting, a Framework Cooperation Memorandum was signed between the Ministry of Finance and the Qatar Development Bank. The memorandum aims to enhance strategic cooperation by providing credit facilities for joint projects, thus promoting economic integration and opening new investment opportunities in both nations.

Additionally, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion and the Qatar Development Bank. This agreement focuses on developing trade exchange, supporting exporters, and creating strategic alliances to diversify trade policies.

The Omani-Qatari Committee, established in 1995, continues to play a pivotal role in strengthening the partnership between the two countries by identifying opportunities for cooperation and investment that serve mutual interests.
